SWISD Dial-A-Story is a free phone-based reading program offered by Southwest Independent School District’s Library Services. Families, students, and teachers can call the Dial-A-Story phone number to hear a short story read aloud. New stories are recorded each week and are available in both English and Spanish. The service is designed to make reading fun and easy to fit into daily life, whether at home, in the car, or in the classroom. Teachers can also use it as a listening or read-aloud activity to support literacy and inspire a love of stories.
To use Dial-A-Story, callers simply dial 830-355-6455 and listen to the current recorded story at any time.
